USB Modems

Hi,

I have completed the minimum term on my USB wireless broadband & own a Huawei E172. I want to use it with another network now. The vodafone website says & I paraphrase - "Most USB Modems are not network locked to Vodafone in the UK but you will need to change the relevant settings to connect to any other network" but does not provide further information. Can anybody kindly provide a step by step guide on what these relevant settings are & how to do it.

I am turning to the eforum as a last resort after many frustating attempts requesting the same with vodafone customer services. Your help will be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

I'm sorry to hear that you are thinking about moving to another network Is there any particular reason for this and is there anything we can do to change your mind?

The settings that you will need are specific to the network you are planning to use them on, so the settings will be provided by the chosen network you wish to use.
