USB k3565 help!

I have USB K3565
PAUG £15 no time limit

I updated the software from the UK website, as it would hang sometimes. I overwrote the software on my K3565, to a different version, it detected the USB stick and undated. It would not connect at all!

So I went and downloaded the full version from the UK site, I installed this, the option on the set-up said contract or pre pay, I selected pre pay. It all installed all OK, it fires up and detects a 3G signal.

When I hit connect I get a ras error? what am I do do now, I have now spent hours and hours on this thing, tried reinstalling it, CClean and everything.

Is there some setting I have to manually change? APN or anything? is so how? is there a log file I can read and send someone or post here?

What can I do next? we really need this working.

you need to get the old software back as the software version you have installed is most probably for the 3G paug with 1 Month time limmit

I have the same problem we both need somebody with the old software so that we can re-install and everything will work again

I have updated the software on the USB stick, I chose the correct one ( not the 220) but when I explore the stick some of the files have the e220 on them? the stick is a 160. has something wrong been flashed on from your website?

Like I said I have even tried the full version 9.44, It had the wrong APN in as standard(even though I chose prepay) so I had to add a custom one, I added PP.Internet and saved it and and closed and a box pops up saying 3g available,

I click connect and it connects, I though yes its sorted..... when I disconnect it will not connect again!!!

To make it connect again I have to go into manage connection view, edit, then save it again and it connects!!!! ( I dont change nothing !!!)

Why do i have to keep doing this? when I manage connections, the custom one is showing all ok as default (in the drop down box)

Something is not right, this is on Vista.


I removed the lot and tried the one on the dongle, but when vodafone connect opens it freezes the computer (this is why I undated the software in the fist place) PC is new and fine, its just all these problems?

support Are they on here?????

I am running vista on a good machine, everything else is fine.
I will say again its a £15 dont expire tariff.

you need to get the old software back as the software version you have installed is most probably for the 3G paug with 1 Month time limmit

go to www.vodacom.co.za/services/vodacom_broadband/downloads.jsp
and download file Application Software - VMC 9.3.6.zip
first uninstall of your computer vodafone mobile lite then re-install version 9.3.6 on your computer use the new dongle with this and it will work

Hi guys,

I'm a little confused here - Darrendpb, did you say you flashed the modem and put different firmware on it? Where did you get this firmware from? If it's not an authorised firmware, you might have caused a problem here :(

Also, have you tried ronzze's suggestion? Did it work for you?

Darrendpb try my suggestion it worked for me i also was in your position no help from the vodafone shop because they only have the latest software and the £15 no time limit is only recognized by the old version when you download it it is the vodafone 9.3 lite program and you will be happy
