Perhaps then if the user manual is of no help then pop into your most local Vodafone Highstreet Store where the staff should be able to help.

As you've just reset your device, do keep an eye on how the notification light behaves. You may find that installing or updating a particular app causes it to play up. Removing that app may get the notification light working again.

With WhatsApp if you open the app and go to menu (top right), settings, notifications, scroll down to light and there should be the option to change it.

I had the exact same issue. The fix is..
When you boot the phone for the first time or after a factory reset do not enter your Google account when prompted - just click skip and proceed without a Google account until the phone is fully set up. Now log into Google with your account to recover your apps and settings and the notification light will work.
