Unable to answer incoming calls

Hi, I have downloaded lollipop and like they say "if it aint broke dont fix it" and i wish i had listened to that advice. I have now got loads of issues with my s5 ie text tking ages to send,a lot slower than it use to be,battery life none existant but the most annoying is i cant answer incoming calls. I have done factory reset twice now but still the same. I can make calls no problem, i have tried changing answering phone to a different button but still just hangs up on incoming caller.

Also is there away of reverting back to old operating system and is it straight forward with no issues of losing anything off my phone, doing a reset is bad enough. Any help appreciated

Cheers

lets face it you only got to look on this and nigh on every other forum about lollipop and the bad points far out weigh the good points. Although i know its not vodafones fault they and every other provider should have checked it was fit for purpose. Again i know and have read that some people are having no problems with this update but they are by far the minority. Also it gets me some of the things they ask you to do when i and they know its nothing to do with the suggestions they ask you to do. Most of the time as with other big companies it comes from a book of bull to feed the customer. Like i said this has worked for me and other people, which is the reason i did roll back firmware. Also i hear that because of so many problems with this update they are rushing through another update to sort it out and believe me i wont be rushing to do it.

Bear in mind that, if there's a problem, a lot of people will be looking for a solution, so what you're seeing is likely to be the whole iceberg, not just the tip.  You'll also find that a lot of the listings on Google are referencing each other, so three or four entries may well be the same thing.

There isn't a problem with Lollipop itself, but the update process can go wrong for a variety of reasons.   I rather suspect that the system state at the time it's done may come into it and, for that reason, I'd always at least to a simple restart before performing one.   That way, only the basic processes should be running.  On an older device with limited memory I would (and always have) done a factory reset first, which makes sure there isn't a raft of apps loading their own processes that can get in the way.

In most cases, a factory reset after the event will smooth things over as it gets rid of any bits of the old system that are hanging round in the cache and confusing things.   If this doesn't help, you'll need to send the device off for repair as it's likely that a clean re-flash will fix it.  A Sumsung service centre if probably the best place for this.
