Hi
I ported my number from Virgin to Vodafone 8 days ago and since then I've had problems receiving calls from Virgin & EE mobiles and also from some landlines (but not all). I've spoken to customer services and the tech team almost every day since and have got nowhere.
The customer services team checked the porting had gone through properly and claim it has but I'm convinced this is a split port problem after reading on various forums.
The tech team got me to do the usual stuff like change the carrier from Vodafone to another network and back to Vodafone which made no difference and advised me to go to a Vodafone store, which I did. The guy there checked it out and found I was on the wrong service plan - I had been given unlimited roaming - so he took ithat off and said it now showed there were no errors with my package. He put in a new sim, adding my number, but this changed nothing.
I've also swapped sims with my wife (also on Vodafone and she also has an iphone 6s plus like myself) who had her number ported successfully at the same time and my sim has the same problem in her phone but she can receive all calls with her sim in my phone so it's not a phone issue.
Has anyone experienced this and how did Vodafone resolve it? (if they ever did!). I've been promised my bill will be waived until this problem is fixed but that doesn't really help in the mean time.

Hi
I agree it does seem like a Split Port.
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do from your end but let the Vodafone porting teams work on the issue.

Hi Stacey
This dragged on for about 4 weeks before it started working. I think the Vodafone tech team must have eventually figured out what had gone wrong (I still think it was a split port) but I was never notified it had started working. I kept calling them and each time they said the tech team would be notified and call me back but they never did.
I kept testing the phone, getting friends/family to call and eventually they started getting through. At that point I called Vodafone again to arrange a refund (as promised) for the time it wasn't working. They issued the refund and I told them it was now working but they didn't even have any notes on their system saying it had been fixed so they couoldn't explain how it suddenly started working.

Hi @Goonerphil
I'm pleased to hear this has been sorted, though I'm sorry there was a delay.
If there's anything else we can help with, let us know.
