hi i got broadband vodafone 76 home broadband and phone.i only got it connected today 19jan.but my speed is only 29.99.download i was told it was a minimum 52.77,and upload is 6.92.told minimum is 19,99.i have heard it may take 10 days for this to be corrected.is this correct.thank you

I'm personally of the belief that the 10 day period is exaggerated. When I had my fibre installed the engineer said it should be the maximum speed from day 1. The way I understand the system to work is that the router and exchange will try and connect at the fastest speed initially. If this is unstable then it'll reduce your connection until it reached a stable level, this should be done in hours rather than days!
@cliff1960 If you only got connected today the system has clearly already carried out this process and determined that 29.99 is your fastest stable speed. Given the large difference between what was promised and what's being delivered, I'd say there is definitely something at fault.
Do you have any telephone extensions in the house? If so,do you know if these are wired before the master socket or after?

i have and they said it will take up to ten days for me to get my minimum speeds which are after looking at my contract download minimum 58.54/i am getting 29.99/and upload minimum 19.99/i am getting 6.8.so i guess i will wait untill the 31 jan and then see what happens.to be honest i have only been with vodafone 2 days and already there customer service dont seem to want to help.lets hope they will resolve this.

@cliff1960 To be fair BT will insist on this arbitrary timeframe before they will consider sending an engineer out. Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait until the end of the period.
