Unable to register, add or remove users

We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.

Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.

Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.

Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.

Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.

Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.

All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

• Exact error message
• Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
• Operating system
• Browser and browser version

I have been using SureSignal v3 successfully for 4 weeks, now. I have added one other user to my account successfully, but every time I try to add one more user I keep getting this long error message;

Hi EkimH,

Welcome to the eForum!

This message typically shows up if you're trying to add a none Vodafone number or if it's a new Vodafone line that's not yet activated. Does this apply to the number you've tried to add?

Let me know your Sure Signal Serial number if the number you're attempting is on an active Vodafone SIM card.

Dear Vodafone..

Since I have had my sure signal I have never manage to add users to it!!

Despite me contacting the technical support and being routed through lots of trouble tickets. I have never ever been able to get the problem solved!!

It is hugely frustrating and I am pleading to guys now hoping you can help me..the faceless support teams who hide behind trouble tickets just leave me nonsenical responses on the tickets... 

Sure signal number : 40114213925

I have added 2 further users but I keep getting errors when I save the numbers. When I go back to the page it shows the numbers up but neither of those phone users get a text message telling them they are added...

I have double / triple checked the numbers, everything is perfect so I just don't understand what's wrong with the damn thing... 

Can someone please help.

Hi thinkscientist,

Welcome to the eForum.

The most common cause for this is that the numbers aren't Vodafone ones. Are any of the numbers you're trying to add on an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) such as Lebara or Talkmobile?

Although they use the Vodafone coverage, they are not Vodafone customers and wouldn't be able to use Sure Signal.

If they are Vodafone SIM cards and active numbers, then I've sent instructions on how to reach my team here so we can dig a little deeper.

Hi,

I am trying to add a sure signal to my account, but it keeps saying:

"Sorry we are not able to process your request because of following errors in your form.

Sorry, we're having a technical problem at the moment. Please try again in a few minutes."

I haven't used the device for around 18-24 months but have just moved back to an area with poor vodafone signal so need to start using it again.  I have a feeling its been de-registered or deactivated, could you check for me please - the serial number is: 21197044205

Hi,

I am trying to register a suresignal, the previous owner is no longer a vodafone customer, so is unable to login to their account and deactivate.

When entering the serial number and my address I get the following error, over the last week:

Sorry – there seems to be a problem.

It looks like something went wrong, sorry. We've got a team of techs working hard to get it sorted - so pop back later and try again.

Hi Please can you help, 

I have had my sure signal for a number of year serial number: 40113105734 for the last 2 years I have not been able to register any new users to it. Everytime I try it keeps saying "Sorry we are having a technical problem.......". It is my personal Suresignal but attached to my work phone number and account. What I would like to do it register my wifes mobile and de register it and move it to her vodafone account. Thanks for a prompt response. 

BTW it is not possible to get hold of anyone at vodaphone via 191 it must be broken - if I press 1 for business users it says thanks for calling bye and if I hold for personal and add my mobile number it also eventually says thanks for calling bye.
