Unable to register, add or remove users

We’ve created this thread to help with online problems that may occur when registering, or managing your Sure Signal.

 

You need an online account so you can register and manage your Sure Signal.

 

You’ll receive a text as part of the registration process, which contains a security code. This code is only valid for 20 minutes.

 

We understand that if you own a Sure Signal, you’ll most likely have little or no coverage, so we recommend you register online when you know you’ll be able to receive the text.


Business customers:

If you’re a business customer you can’t register this via My Account and you need to visit Sure Signal for business. Just click ‘Register a Sure Signal’ and enter your company name as the owner and your mobile number as the administrator - this way you can still make any changes needed.


Consumer customers:

You’ll receive a text or email to confirm that the Sure Signal is fully registered.


Please note that problems can occur, if the number that’s registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal, is different than the main number registered for online billing.


Check for planned maintenance:

Check the forum for any planned maintenance. If there is, this will be announced at the top of the Sure Signal forum.

 

Planned maintenance can involve changes to the registration system, so wait for this to complete and then retry.


Pending active:

If your online account shows the Sure Signal as ‘Pending Active’, then post in this thread and we’ll look into it further.


All other issues:

If you have any other problems with your Sure Signal registration or management, just post the details below. We’ll need the following:

 

  • Exact error message
  • Step by step instructions for how to recreate the issue
  • Operating system
  • Browser and browser version

Thank you Dave. I replied yesterday morning but nothing except a message saying that you had removed the registration pages (which you haven't) and no indication of a timeframe or way forward...

I have the same problem - "VAPGatewayController" error when tring to register my new Sure SIgnal box from with My Account.  Will you send me a PM request so that you can register 'behind the scenes' please.

I'm having the same problem as everyone else when attempting to register my Sure Signal on the website.  Please can one of you tech chaps PM me so that I can complete the registration by other means?

Like everyone else on here I can't register my suresignal via the website because of the error.  Can someone PM me so I can get this sorted please.

 

 

For info.  I have had a suresignal registered since Jan 2010 but as I moved house I wanted to update the postcode.  That didn't work and gave the same error as did trying to change the name of the suresignal.  Strangely the only option that did work was deregistering.  Now when I go to reregister with the updated details I get the same damn error as everyone else.

You would think that someone would be trying to fix this, its costing Vodafone call revenue, causing me huge issues at home and frankly is unacceptable ...

Thank you for your posts here.

 

Unfortunately we are still experiencing issues with the online dashboard for the Sure Signal however, it has been raised and investigations are currently ongoing.

 

Unfortunately due to this the only way to resolve your issue is to get the unit register using our back end system which can be done through ourselves, 191 or through the chat option.

 

If you are still having issues registering the Sure Signal please follow the instructions on the PM that I have sent to you and one of the team can get this all sorted for you.

(apologies for double posting - I posted this same request on another thread before discovering this more popular thread - made sense to post here as well in case it was spotted sooner)

I've also posted a plea for help on another forum but I'm having another go here. Please can I have a solution to registration problem. The website won't let me even begin to register my sure signal box now. Just says can't process my request, try again later. Been trying for ages now. I just weant to be able to use my phone without going to the end of my garden!
