Upgrade Early

My Google Nexus 6p is starting to play up with random crashes and an awful battery life (will not last any more than 3 or 4 hours, less if it's being used continuously).

With this in mind, I decided to upgrade my phone to something like the new Samsung Note 8. So I got in touch with Vodafone via their online chat system, where I went through all the steps found out a plan I liked and agreed on the terms and conditions. I was informed that I would have to pay a fee of around £65 as I was upgrading early, for some reason or another I lost the connection with the Agent "Katie" and couldn't proceed with the offer.

I get back from work with the plan to phone someone up, to be told I have to pay a different amount (more than double the cost), I've been with Vodafone nearly 9 years now and I was shocked that I've got given two different prices on the same day?

May I ask if you've asked if the initial fee has been logged on your account @Morley84

If this was my situation I'd ring again and see where you get to.

Hi @Morley84

If you are on a Red Plan, you should be eligible for a flexi upgrade, I suspect this was something the first advisor was looking at,with the second advisor quoting you for early termination charges to cancel and take out a new agreement with a new phone.

I would suggest trying again, perhaps callings and speaking to Upgrades, they should be in a better postion to offer you something more attractive.

If flexi upgrades should be an option there is further information  for you below.

What’s a Flexi-upgrade and how do I get one?
