Usb Modem 3565 V2 Not Working On Windows 7 Starter

I recently bought an Acer Aspire One netbook preinstalled with windows 7 starter.
I cant get my existing vodafone USB K3565 V2 modem to work on it for the life of me.
All I get is RAS error 619.
I have installed VMC 9.4 unistalled and reinstalled it and also tried the lite version.
The usb modem works fine on my macbook when running on OSX leopard and via bootcamp on Windows XP too.
Ive read a few post and tried some of the fixes but nothing seems to get it working. Anyone got some ideas?!

Hi Karluk, welcome to the eForum!

We 've seen the 619 error before, so at this point, we need to check which of the "fixes" you've tried. Once we know exactly what's been checked it will help us identify what is left.

I've posted a list of some things to check previously on this thread - can you check each of the things listed there and let us know how you get on with these:
