Using Pay as you go overseas

I'm from Singapore and i bought a pay as you go SIM card from London last year. This year, i'll be travelling from Spain to London to France and the Netherlands. Can I continue topping up and using the SIM for data usage while i'm in Spain, France and the Netherlands? Also, since i'll be travelling to Spain first, do i have to top up my SIM card through the internet or can i buy a top up card from Spain?

OR, is it advisable to just buy a pay as you go SIM card in Spain and use it in the EU and only use my London SIM card while i'm in UK?

Have you used the sim since returning home?
I ask as PAYG sims are deactivated after not being used for something between 90-120 days so you may find your sim is dead.

Within the EU, data roaming charges are horrendously high. The only way to get reasonable rates is to buy a local PAYG SIM in every country you're in.
