V3 power light solid, Internet light flashing, no other lights

A friend has given me this Sure Signal. It worked fine for them. They deregistered it and I have registered it today. I only get a flashing internet light. I have tried holding in the reset button but nothing happens and it doesn't affect the lights at all. Have put in a new Ethernet cable connected to BT Home Hub with infinity. Please help! I have NO vodafone signal at home as we're in a black spot.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.

I can see that the Sure Signal did connect to our server last night so this should now be working.

 

What light sequence are you now seeing?

 

To do the traceroute on a Mac, you will need to do the following.

 

  • Open Terminal (Applications, Utilities)
  • Type traceroute 212.183.133.177 and press enter

Thanks James.  It worked last night.  Today I have the power light and the 2 left white lights on.  The right white light doesn't seem to have been on all day today.

Thanks for coming back to us. Line 3 should not be blank and the hop on line 4 is very high. I'd recommend speaking to your ISP to see if they're aware of any issues.
