VEA Applied on renewed contract

After being a Vodafone customer for over 6 years, I again 18 months ago renewed my contract, there was a bit of a problem as the agent sent my new phone to the incorrect address and after 9 hours on the phone to different Vodafone call centres the matter was resolved with Vodafone giving me credit meaning I didn't pay a bill for the first 2 months.
Problem is, I found out last night that 18 months ago my 20% VEA wasn't applied to my account.
Should this VEA be automatically included when I upgrade?
It always has previously!!

It smells to me like....ok our error, we'll credit your account with £80 but not apply your VEA so we'll recover our 'gesture of goodwill £80' that way!!!

A customer service person doesn't have the ability to add the VEA discount to an account. They can only refer the case to the VEA team.

I really do hope they get in touch!!!
This needs sorting once and for all or there'll be 2 contracts less in a few months time!!

The Vodafone Team here is a small one. They go through all threads so please try to be patient. 

 

They'll reply I'm sure and if necessary take this to Private Message level as they'll need to take you through Security Protocols as your login credentials here are not connected to your Vodafone Account.

I've got a copy of the chat, I confirmed at the end of the conversation that he'd applied VEA to both accounts again which was confirmed??
I'll put that to Vodafone too?
If it couldn't be done he should have said so!!! Another error!!!
