VEA and Negotiation

I was told at my local Vodafone shop that I could negotiate a deal with a telephone sales advisor and then apply the 20% VEA that I was eligible for. However, having been offered a deal on the phone, I was told this was not how it worked. They did kindly say I could upgrade earlier than my 75 days for free!

So should I hold out and try and negotiate once within my 75 final days, or will that negotiation still not get me more than 20% off the list price?

Upgrading 90 days before and getting a deal is possible.

I got a Note 4 within few days of release in 2014, on a deal lot better than VEA. This was done 13 days before the 75 days Upgrade window.

I have 4 lines and all have negotiated discounts. And all were done as early upgrade within the 75 days window.

Best is go to Live chat during the day and mention that "looking at my upgrade options". They will pass you to tge upgrade and Disconnection team. Then it is entirely upto your Negotiation Skills what you walk away with.

Yes that's when those departments are contactable via Live Chat or telephone support via 191. 

 

Try to contact them between 9am and 5pm is my advice.

The Upgrade and Disconnection Team are available on the Weekend too, but only during the day.

 

My last upgrade was on a saturday, while attending a wedding, I started the chat on my mobile. Within an hour, two lines, changed to SIM Only on a excellent deal.

I upgraded my phones in March and went into store to add my vea discount and it has only been applied to one line when I was told it was added to both lines.
How do I solve this issue

Hi @meenesh82

 

Providing the second line was not discounted in any way, you would have needed to complete a separate application for the additional line during the 30 day time limit.

 

If the store have failed to do this correctly, you need to contact the VA Team direct.  There is an online link on the FAQ's below.

You have to make the VEA application through the relevant employer.

 

Usually the employer's HR department are the people who have the details.

 

The VEA discount cannot be applied to any contract that already has a discount applied and must be applied for within 30 days of tbe start of the contract,
