I was ment to recieve y replacement yesterday after aranging unpaid time from work so I could be into exchange the phones and so on but there was no delivery after contacting voda and stressing my issues to them the explained that there was an issue with the warehouse where the phone was being sent from and it would be out today....... I'm still waiting no text from DPD and no confirmation from voda

So moving on my thought towards this issue which is not with Samsung or the phones its self but with the firmware voda have installed on the devices as all other carriers have video call features and I'm more that sure if in went into a store and bought a s6 straight out there would be no issue with this feature. as the person who started this post has had 4 different handsets and the issue has not been fixed this is casting doubt in my minds that Vodafone don't have the abilities to be able to fix this problem

Hi Redlan

I hope you get your replacement soon. And there is no use exchanging or buying from Vodafone store as I been there and the lady in the store was really helpful and she agreed to exchange mine in store but when we checked a brand handset it still had theoption missing.
It's definitely boda firmware problem.

Hi All

So I recieved a call from the Voda shop, Manchester where a staff called Sharon who was dealing with my enquiry and she called me back to inform the progress on this issue. Now its confirmed by both Samsung and Voda that this issue of missing Video Calling option is Voda's firmware error and nothing to do with Samsung. And also confirmed that is is raised and will sorted in the next firmware update soon (no time given which is acceptable as they agreed their error).

LOL! Thanks to the follow up from the OP to the effect that this missing feature is apparently due to a faux pas from the (in)famous Vodafone firmware team.

Luckily for them, the fact that video calling is apparently a little used feature has spared their blushes on this occasion. To be honest I only noticed the missing feature on reading the OP's thread. I then had the difficult decision to make as to whether I should be boiling over with righteous or moral indignation :Smiling:  Gven that the  Vodafone team spend so much time testing new firmware and updates before release how could they miss something so obvious?

I notice though that apparently the handset(s) used by some of the eforum team have the missing feature...hmmm... :Smiling:

I had a play with an s6 edge handset in a Dixons airport store this morning and there was the missing Video Calling icon in all its glory :Smiling:

I'm still getting fobbed off! This is dreadful service!

"I would like to inform you that Samsung Galaxy s6 edge is compatible with video calling feature but Vodafone does not offer this service; hence you are unable to use that feature with Vodafone.

Many Thanks"

Hi @Vickiestixx

Vodafone don't support video calling eventhough Samsung S6 itself support this functionality. Yes right now you can't see the icon to use video calling option (if your phone is unlocked and you want to use it with diffrent supporting networks) but they promised that they will fix this issue in near future update.

Hi Ann S

Are you serious, I had near about 100 Live chats and calls with diffrent departments with in Vodafone and can provide evidence that clearly states that Voda don't support video calling. Its a joke of service what Voda providing giving wrong information to customers.

Thanks for your information....

I don't understand why anyone would want to use a chargeable video calling service when there are alternatives out there that use data only and can be used on Wi Fi. Skype is the obvious one but there are others and Facebook messenger now supports video calling.
