Been using home broadband Fibre 38 by Vodafone for approx 6 month and the speeds are very consistent during the day 35mbps down and 8mbps up. However, after 5pm the down speeds drop to below 8mbps or less and will stay like that till just after midnight, sometimes later. Up speeds are pretty consistent throughout a 24 hour period.
Having already spoken to some seriously incompetent staff in your broadband team telling me my speeds are acceptable and if I want faster download speeds in the evenings then I have to upgrade my package to Fibre 76. Somehow I doubt that would make any difference at all and if someone was half clued up on technology, I'm sure they'd agree!
So, I live in hope someone will see this message and can make thing happen before I seek a way out...
PS. I do understand speeds slow down in the evenings / peak times but not from 35mbps to less than 8mbps.

Hi @Mikey2016
I use another isp provider with my download speeds being around 50 and does occasionally drop in the evening to approx 38 but it does not always happen. Like you I accept that this can happen when lots more people are online when they are home in the evening.
However I agree that's quite a large dip in speeds.
May I ask are you hardwired or using wifi.
Sometimes for me switching wireless channel helps and I've chosen to split my frequencies in my router to 5ghz and 2.4ghz which can help.
The Vodafone Community Forum Tech Team help a lot on here but with broadband queries you may find them refer you to the dedicated Broadband Tech Teams via the Contact us and ringing them or using Live Chat.
I hope things settle better for you asap.

I'm both hard wired and wireless (wifi). The difference in speed when testing both is negligible.
