Do Vodafone do a SIM only broadband that I can plug into my O2 bought dongle?
I would also like to use Voadfone's 50MB roaming broadband - can that be purchased by itsewld or os ot charged in addition to having a UK pay as you go mob boradband?

We currently do not offer a SIM only package for our Mobile Broadband however you never know what the future may hold

In regards to the Vodafone roaming this is something that has to be purchased and added to your account separately.

So, to get a mobile broadband that works in Spain, I have to buy a stick from Vodafone and also add the 3Gb allowance and then when in SPain pay an extra £9.99 for a 50Mb allowance?
Is there anyway to just buy a stick and only pay the £9.99 allowance to start with?

Thanks for coming back to us here.

What you will need to do is , purchase a £15 top up for your 3GB. Then the £9.99 will then be taken from this. So affectively this will then take up 2/3 of your usage for the 50MB.

I asked the same question before Christmas - Does Vodafone have a sim only deal for mobile broadband? The official answer was 'no' in the forum but if you phone customer services, they will send you a data sim and sign you up to a contract.

I opted for a £15 per month, 3 GB plan on a 30 day rolling contract. I just didn't want to pay for the dongle seeing as my netbook has embedded 3G so I simply slide the sim card into the slot in my PC.

There is a small charge for the sim card - around £3 but it's cheaper than ending up with a dongle that I can't use.

I opted for this because I started out on PAYG broadband with Vodafone and it absolutely rocks. Vodafone is by far the best mobile broadband I've used and I average a 5GB download speed in Manchester. Absolutely excellent !
