Vodafone Network - I've Got No 3G Signal In CO2 Postcode Area

I've had contract for 18months and never had an issue, my computer couldn't be in a better position to get a connection, it will often connect to gprs which is really poor and I can hardly browse or work with that connection. I'm paying a great deal of money monthly for the service and may aswell give up trying to use home broadband.

I live CO2 and have Huawei E172 dongle.

Could you please help and if there is no planned solution what can I do?

Many thanks Ali

Have u tried putting the sim in a handset to access the internet as this will make sure the is up to date with the network. Be sure to check u have a 3g handset first tho.

Also try going to the phone and device support to make sure u have the latest software.

Hi cots2010 and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your connection on your modem. I can appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

I can also see that welshrosco has given you some great help here :) Ontop of this, can you also provide me with the full postcode of the area that you are having this problem in? We'll then be able to check the network surrounding you and see if there are any faults or issues with the local cell sites.

Thanks

Wayne

Hi cots2010

Thanks for providing this. I cannot see any issues with the site but I can see you should definitely be able to get 3G as you practically live under the mast. :)

So, with this in mind, I've forwarded the site details onto a colleague of mine who works a little closer to the engineers, who will hopefully be able to get some information on whats going on here for me.

I'll report back as soon as I hear anything. In the mean time, try what welshrosco has suggested and let me know how you get on

Thanks

Wayne
