Hi
I've had this phone for about a year and I've been having issues for the last week. I noticed a strange pattern around the outside of the screen. At first I thought it was from the phone case but now I can't use the q or p buttons unless I'm typing landscape.
I took it to the phone shop where I bought it and they said it wasn't under guarantee as they felt I'd dropped it (which I certainly haven't).
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Sonja223
Is there any scuffs / damage to the phones casing which would have made the Shop think it had been dropped ?
Has any visible water sensor been tripped to indicate its been in contact with liquid or condensation from being in a warm place. Sometimes sensors are in the SIM card slot.
If this was my device I'd first back up and factory reset to see if that helped.
Have you been using the phone on Vodafone Uk Network ? If so you could pop the phone into any Vodafone Highstreet Store and they could send it off. They apply a 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty.

Thank you for your reply.
No there are no marks / cracks or scuffs on the phone. It's my pride and joy and lives in a case with a glass screen cover too. Just this strange pattern around the outside of the screen.
I've been to the high street shop and they said they'd send it away but as they also said it's not under warranty I'm worried about that.
I'm just wondering if it's something anyone has come across before.

Thank you for your reply. I wasn't made aware that this was the case, thank you.
Is if best to take if to the shop I previously went to?

Any shop should be able to send it off for you. Don't mention the previous interactions, let them draw their own conclusions - maybe they won't think there's any damage. If it comes up, say you'd like the repair centre to look at it and estimate if there's clear evidence that the fault is the result of damage.
It's also worth taking photos of the device before you send it off, just in case there's any dispute later. And remember that the repair will also reset the devie, so make sure your contacts and calendar are fully syncd and that your content is backed up. :smileywink:
