Maybe that explains the lack of attention to serving their existing customers of many years...

If Vodafone has bought Phones4U stores, why are they not even remotely interested in assisting Vodafone customers who have have lost their "in for repair" handset to the administrators?
The apathy eminating from Phones4U and Vodafone customer service is something to behold, do they care that I still have to pay £500 a year for a mobile phone that has effectively been lost or stolen by the administrators.
Neither will provide me with the written evidence admitting the loss or theft that I need to claim on my insurance, anyone else had this problem?
regards
Janet

Vodafone hasn't bought any P4U stores - they've taken on some locations and potentially staff but they will be branded Vodafone. Only the administrators can deal with P4U queries - it's not in Vodafone or EE's hands in any way.

Once a company is placed in Administration everything that was in the possession of the company at the time of administration becomes the property of the administrators, their priority is to realise the value of any assestts to pay off the creditors, the Inland Revenue take the first place for payments.
You will need to contact the company that are handling the administration to see what their policy is regarding customer's phones, they will also certainly return the phone if it is in their posession but don't expect any quick resloution as there are a lot of legalities the administrators have to go through before releasing any property or making any payments.

Its been nearly three months of trying to get the P4U customer services, as suggested on the Vodafone website, to liaise with the administrator and its so painfully obvious they coulnt give a damn. My contract is with Vodafone, they are the ones extracting the funds from my account each month for an item I dont possess through no fault of my own, I wasnt the one who withdrew services from P4U forcing them into the situation.
All I need is someone, be it PWC, P4U or Vodafone to give me soemthing in writing to say they have lost or stolen the handset, my insurance company will do the rest, too much to ask?

Janet

Vodafone supply the air time but they didn't supply the phone - that was P4U.
It's a nasty situation but Vodafone will be powerless to help as they are not in any way involved.

So it seems I'm destined to pay Vodafone £40 a month for airtime actually worth £?? for the next year, I certainly wont be renewing with them, thats a fact.
