My Iphone 6 battery has been failing me for a few weeks. So I went into my local branch (Glenrothe Fife) to be told to drive to my nearest apple store (60mile round trip) to be told by apple to go online and sort it out with tech support. I spoke to apple tech support and they said that my device is over 1 year old and is not covered by apples manufactuers warranty that this would be a concern of VODAFONE!!! As per consumer law any device purchased in the UK will come with at least a 5 year warrenty but VODAFONE will not take ownership of this fault but they have told me that I still have to pay my contract and cant claim off my insurance which is want goin to do anyway. Vodafone are in breach of contract and I will not be paying any more of my money to the worst mobile phone courier in the country.
Under the Sale of good act I am covered by law this is a manufactuers fault. Vodafone have to replace or repair this and if they dont I am entitled to a refund.

Your shouty post with its unwanted profanities is full of inaccuracies, whether you got them from the CAB or not.
Your phone is not covered by The Sale of Goods Act but The Sale of Goods and Services Act.
You are not entitled to a 5 year warranty come what may.
You are not entitled to stop paying your contract because the phone isn't part of the contract - it covers the mobile phone service and the phone is explicitly excluded from the contract. If you or the CAB had bothered to read the the terms and conditions of the contract you have with Vodafone you and they would have known that.
Batteries are not normally covered by a warranty anyway.
You need to keep dealing with customer services to get your issue resolved.

you are mad sir do you not think I have done my research prior to these post and me or the CAB are not lying. The only thing you were right about was continuing to make payments everything else is fact I can assure you of that. Here is a link to the LAW this maybe let you see I have done my research.
http://www. legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1979/54
The Sale of Goods Act
Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
Fit for purpose means both their everyday purpose, and also any specific purpose that you agreed with the seller (for example, if you specifically asked for a printer that would be compatible with your computer)
Goods sold must also match any sample you were shown in-store, or any description in a brochure.
If you have bought a faulty product, our guide shows you what you should do.
As per this LAW that was changed in OCT 2015 (I am sure you will know this like you seem to know what you are talking about) My goods are faulty and are covered by this law and entitles me to a repair or replacment for 5 years as this was purchased in Scotland.

Hi thanks for your reply yes I have followed your instruction and followed the link and have been in touch with the customer service person and I am waiting on them replying if you send me your email I can forward the emails that have been sent between me and the customer service person. The person told me that my device is out of warranty and to take it in to branch to be looked at. My reply was "I have been in to branch twice first time was sent to apple they sent me to their tech support and sent me back to vodafone" My second time in branch I was called a liar and was told it was no concern of vodafone. After this I had to go and seek the advice from CAB who told me exactly what I already knew my device is covered by the sales of good act and I am covered by consumer law. I know my rights I know I am entitled to a repair or replacement and if this is not honored I can take vodafone to court as a breach of my rights please get back in touch with me I appreciate you taking the time to mail me.
Thanks

well after all this hassle and crap im getting my phone fixed as this is warranty dispute. I dont know why this couldnt have been sorted last month instead of claiming that it was no concern of vodafone. Vodafone issued me with a handset in March claiming this was a new handset but it wasnt it was a reconditioned handset (apple told me this not vodafone). So I have been miss-sold a phone and when that phone failed vodafone claimed it was no issue of theirs and apple said it was out of warranty. I cannot believe all the trouble I have had about this issue and how stubborn vodafone have been about fixing this issue and trying to get me to pay for it or make a fraudulent insurance claim after asking for a repair. I really cannot wait till next year so I can leave this company I have had to fight with vodafone to get things sorted with no compassion from your end. I used to like this network and have had a contract for several years but this is my last phone with vodafone absolutley terrible customer care and service this has took up far too much of my time and has cost me a fortune in parking fees and petrol plus being charged for a phone that I do not have the use of.
