Vodafone wallet and NFC

Hi guys

I have just got a Samsung S8 and have installed vodafone wallet on there with my new NFC sim. It's all set up and working and just have one question.

When I set up wallet it told me I had to turn on NFC on my phone.  I thought the point of the vodafone NFC sim is so you don't have to have NFC enabled on the phone. Or am I wrong?

Either way it is working really well I am just curious that's all.

Hi. Yes you need to have NFC turned on if you want to use NFC features.

I just wasn't sure as the Vodafone faq says you can use it with your phone switched off.

Yes @rob77uk I have read that too for Wallet but I still think it needs to be switched on before hand for the system to register/work, but it does say you can use it if you have no power to the phone.
