Didn't see your message, but the cooling off period is 30 days. Whats the issue that you are experiencing?

Won’t go into full details again but was on fibre 36 and upgraded to fibre 76 during cooling off period. That period has now finished but I’m in the middle of cooling off period now for fibre 76. Can I use that period to leave vodafone as service is shocking or does it mean I just go back to fibre 36?

The cooling off period of 30 days applies to new contracts, if you upgrade your price plan, broadband package or home phone package, this doesn’t start off a new cooling off period.

Now  with regards to downgrading to something cheaper, it’s at Vodafone’s descretion, I know some providers let you downgrade within a contract but haven’t tried that with Vodafone yet.

After I upgraded agent told me there was a new cooling off period starting and I received email from Vodafone stating my contract end date was 18 months from the date I upgraded so surely that’s a new contract. Don’t forget when I upgraded I was in cooling off period for fibre 36.

My understanding is the same as yours - by upgrading, you're entering into a new 18 month contract, and as such you start a new cooling off period during which you can leave without penalty.

I’m going to call them tonight, will probably be the usual hour on hold. Hopefully I’ll be in cooling off period so I can leave and not just go back to fibre 38
