I am so annoyed to find that the new Galaxy S7 is not enabled for Wifi calling! I could not use that facility on my S6 Edge as the phone wasnt bought from Vodafone, so didnt have the setting installed in the phone. I went for the upgrade with Vodafone as I assumed the setting would be in the phone as it came from them...not so!
Anyone else really dissapointed?

I bought a Sure Signal for the dodgy signal in my house

I can't get my S7 Edge to connect to my Sure Signal. I had issues with my old SS2 with my S5. Bought a new SS3 and could only get that to work with the S5 if I turned off 4G auto connect and restarted my phone once inside the house.
So far I can't get the S7 Edge to connect to the SS3 no matter what I do, WiFi calling might be the answer if I can't sort it.

Hi everyone,
We've not received any official communication regarding Wi-Fi calling for the Samsung S7 or S7 Edge.
As soon as there's an update, we'll update our website
@SubaruWRX2003 Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

I will try that but I went through all this process with the S5 and could only get it to work most times after a restart of my phone within range of the SS3.
I tried all the things I did with the S5 with the S7 Edge and still no go. Will have more time to test it further over the weekend.
I'd have thought being a brand new model it would have no issues connecting.

I was specifically told when I pre ordered the phone that I would be able to do Wi Fi calling on my S7 edge. I have really bad reception at home and was relying upon this feature being available pretty much from the outset. Vodaphone is a joke on the wi fi calling front. All the other UK providers do Wi fo calling either directly on the phone or through a specific app. Come on Vodaphone get it sorted, and dont just point us to the Wi Fi Calling page!!

I am in the same position as you elephantStone, I don't have a good reception at all times in my home so really wanted Wi-Fi calling on my S7. Rest of my family are with EE which does have Wifi calling on any handset running android as long as you purchased from EE. Let's hope Vodafone gets their act together soon!

Samsung S7 Galaxy Edge owner.
I am unable to get a decent signal in my flat and only took out a new contract with Vodafone because of Wifi Calling and was promised this feature before agreeing to the contract.
I text 9788 and recieved a reply saying it would be turned on in 24 hours .. Nothing... I then rang the helpline twice and was promised that it would be turned on within the hour The 2nd time the girl even said she would ring my home phone within the hour to confirm it was activated, she never. So Vodafone if there is an issue with Wifi Calling please dont cover it, tell us,as i may have to cancel and go over to another network who can provide this service.
A phone you can't use at home is no good to anyone

Such a poor service from vodafone to not have it on a brand new device. They should have mentioned this before so customers know. I spent an hour with the agent and they have no idea what this is, they think my voice and texts dont work ! I can't beleive we pay to receive such appalling service !!

B4 ordering my S7 last week I checked twice with the small bus team that it was wifi calling enabled out of the box. Was assured it was. Received phone last week This morning tried to set up wifi calling and Vodafones 2nd line tech team in Cairo tell me S7 is not enabled yet - will be but don't know when. I checked again this pm with on line chat person and also Small Bus Team in RSA and they assure me the S7 is ready. Went through to tech team again and they tell me it is definately not. Good joined up communication and selling fone on contracts with wrong info and assurances. Guy in tech team said possibly in 1-2 weeks but made clear this is a guess and no promise. Feel duped.
