I got my new S7 edge from CPW and can't use wifi calling as there is no option in the phone settings to activate this. l no this option was there before l updated to android 6.0.1 now this option has disappeared is there a way to get it back.
It's always a good idea to search before posting as there was a thread about this just the other day which does answer your query. You'll find the eForum does have the answer to most questions if you just search.
@Unfortunately as @63johnw has rightly said, if you didn't buy the phone directly from Vodafone, you can't use WiFi calling.

Thanks for the replys but it really shouldn't make a difference were people get there phone's from it even states on the CPW website that the S7 edge comes with wifi calling and since it was vodafone contacted me and said they have added wifi calling to my account l expected that looks would be able to use it.
It does make a difference - a very big difference in fact.
The S7 Edge does come with WiFi calling, however, it is a network feature and in order to be able to use it you need to be running a Vodafone supplied handset which is running the correct firmware. The firmware makes all the difference.
If you feel that CPW haven't provided you with the correct information, you will need to take this up with them. However, I do suspect they will say that they were simply stating the features of the handset and not which network the features will work on.

Hi @Stevie1
I totally understand your thoughts on this and your not alone. As per the posts in the recent thread I pasted in.
Vodafone have decided not to allow Calling Over Wifi on Samsung Galaxy s7 not purchased directly from them I assume because they do not have branded firmware on them which has been tested by Vodafone before released to its branded phones.
The Samsung CPW supplied will have the unbranded android marshmallow on it.
To not be affected by this stipulation a person would have to use certain models of iPhone i.e. iPhone 6s and 6s Plus which don't have to be bought directly from Vodafone or Samsung s7 / s7 edge bought directly from them.
As per the advice in the previous recent thread you could go back to CPW and see what their advice / stance is on this.
At the very least their in store reps should be aware of this and advising potential customers when upgrading / opening up a new contract on Vodafone.

Have a look at EE, they allow you to buy phones elsewhere and allow wifi calling.
