Wifi calling

Hello everyone, new the forum, hope someone can help with the following question I need to know if the Samsung galaxy Edge Plus is wifi calling compatible? I am thinking of purchasing a preowned handset that is perhaps just a few months old(I was thinking of buying one that is locked to vodafone) I have spoken with vodafone over the phone a couple of times with great fustration and they say that the s6Edge Plus is not covered by wifi calling(only s6 & s6 edge are). I paid a visit to Vodafone Inverness shop for additional advice, the guy in the store was helpfull and told me to call back in the afternoon as the guy from samsung will be around demonstrating samsung handsets & is very clued up. I called back and spoke with him, he said that the s6, s6 edge, s6 edge Plus and s7`s all support wifi calling. he said the wifi calling gets activated by your vodafone contract sim and will take around a day for the wifi calling feature to show up on your device(on the assumption that you have wifi calling enabled on your plan). None of this seem to make any sense as It says on vodafone website that only `special` s6 and s6edge only purchased from vodafone will work? surely if what the samsung guy is saying is true, I could purchase a hadset from anywhere(unlocked) and just pop my vodafone contract sim in(which is wifi calling enabled) an away I go? I am sorry to ramble on but nobody seems to have a solid answer to my question anywhere, so I thought this was the best place to go for help. regards, Matt

Well it works on my S7 so don't know why the S7 Edge would be any different. Don't give up.

Im guessing you've checked Settings, Applications, Phone then scroll right to the bottom to make sure it's turned on! Mine wasn't turned on as default!

Thanks for your attempts to help but don't you think that after 12 hours with both Vodafone and Samsung customer support and technical support I'd have followed the info on how to find the setting and set it up?

My opinion is that the phone requires a software update that includes the WiFi calling which our Vodafone s7s are yet to get

I have an S7 edge bought from Vodafone and my WiFi calling works perfectly. This is how I got mine enabled.
My software updated to the latest (PD1). Straight after the update, I checked under applications > phone, scrolled right to the bottom and there was no wifi calling option to enable. So I sent the WiFi calling message to Vodafone again (CALLING to 97888) and within an hour I checked again under applications > phone, and as if like magic the WiFi calling option appeared.

It seems like the WiFi calling needs to be 'activated' by vodafone on the new firmware.

If I was to give you my troubleshooting steps, I would factory reset the phone after backing up your data on the cloud, send the WiFi calling text message to Vodafone again and wait for approx one hour before looking under applications > phone.
