Will TalkMobile sim work with Vodafona firmware on S4 mini (GT-I9195)?

Hi,

I have an LTE S4 Mini running Android 4.4.2 on standard BTU firmware. I have waited for a rather long time to recieve an upgrade to 4.4 KitKat. I have found a Vodafone firmware for my device which contains the update. I use TalkMobile which uses the Vodafone signal, will my TalkMobile sim work with the Vodafone software?

I would be very wary of using a firmware not specified for your network.

I know that talkmobile use Vodafone network but I am not sure if it will work though.

Why are you so desperate to upgrade?

I don't think any changes are that major?

I would avoid putting Vodafone firmware in a Unbranded device as it can brand this and can be a pain to sort

sammobile has all the updates if 4.4 is not out for the S4 BTU then there is a reason

No one will offer you any guarantees so, if this is your main phone and you value the warranty, I'd steer well clear of it.   If you want to experiment, we'd be glad to hear of your experiences, but you'd be leading us, not the other way round.
