It's very odd to hear this, as I've just fired up my coverage checker tool, and all appears to be well, signal-wise, in your area...
Could you possibly try your SIM in another unlocked / Vodafone mobile? Different mobile makes & models have different aerial sizes, so the hardware might even be the cause.
Other than this, could you try the opposite, and another SIM in your mobile or another phone? I can't raise a fault with no faulty info this end, and although I'm not saying there isn't a problem, we'd need a bit more from yourself.
Lastly, can you get 3G signal elsewhere?
