World Of Warcraft Connection Problems

hey!

i'm new here, just got my contract and wondering if you guys could help. i bought my pro stick on contract on saturday 22/03/09 and was surfing by saturday evening, at some ease! also manage to update my wow account and start playing so i was pretty happy.

but on sunday 23/03/09 i couldn't logon to wow. the logon process would get stuck at either or connecting/handshaking/success! stages and just stop until i cancelled the action. also i noticed i could no longer access my wow account from the wow-europe.com site either.

i called vodafone custumer service and asked to removed the restricted content protocal in the hope that would clear it up but i'm still having the same problems.

as far as the wow-europe.com site problem i think it might be a java script problem since i noticed in the bottom right corner of the browser a messege saying 'java (0 void )'. My browser is firefox.

but as the connecting issue to the blizzard login servers, could anyone help? i've done all i can this end (i believe) i've flushed/released/renew the DNS and followed blizzards tech support advise with no results.

thanks for your time!

Hi Elixia_Dragmire and welcome to the eForum :)

I've never played WOW but I here so many people talking about it. :)

I'm afraid this is going to be an issue with your browser if you are getting Java Script errors. Coul dyou try using a different browser like Internet Explorer?

Let me know how that goes and if you have any more questions please let me know. Also, if any body else on the forum has any suggestions for getting WOW working then please let us know. :)

Thanks

Wayne

Your not playing with a horde character are you? Vodafone are very much pro-alliance!

Seriously though, I sometimes get the exact same problem on my PC. It will freeze at the handshake stage and totally refuses to go any further. I find totally restarting my system to be the only thing that works when this happens.

Haha! Very nice. You'll need to get your skates on though or you wont be ready when its time to go to Icecrown Citadel and kick the Lich King's butt! ;)

(Also, I have dibs on Frostmourne!)

Hi Guys

I'm moderating at the moment.

I know you guys love your WOW (who doesn't! :D ) but let's steer the conversation back towards Vodafone!

Cheers

sorry ^^;

anyway, just asking does vodafone block port 3724? and if so, is it possible i could have it open? Blizz tech support mention that you would need this port open in order to connect and that i should ask my ISP.

thanks!
