cannot play song

My sony xperia won't play any music. Always come up with "cannot play song". Have tried numerous times and wasted hours searching for fixes, e.g importing through windows but still no joy. This has got to be the worst phone for music. Complete and utter rubbish.

Are you adding music to your phone from a CD. Are these protected. 

What is the model of Sony Xperia phone your using ?

Are you using the stock music player or have you tried an alternative player app.

Thanks for the response. It's xperia C5.

I had all my music in itunes as mp3's. 

Tried to convert using a few different apps but always the same "cannot play song" the songs are there, just won't play.

Really shouldn't be so hard....!

Please ensure you're following the steps advised in the user guide on page 57.

If you're still having difficulties, pop your music on to a USB stick and we can try to transfer it in your local store using our Vodafone RED Box.
