Hi guys,
I backed up my iphone 4s today and afterwards my sms stopped working. IMessage, calling, email etc all work fine just not green non iphone sms messaging, which is driving me nuts.
I have done the following:
1/ complete restore in iTunes
2/ reset network settings via settings in my iPhone
3/ faffed out entering the service centre numbers with *#5005*7672#+447785016005# and this comes up with
Setting Suceeded
Serviced Centre Address
No Address
4/ toggled off imesage/ face time and this was another disaster and left my iPhone hanging on iMessage waiting for activation,. So not only culd I not text but not iMessage either...... only the complete iPhone restore from backup from iTunes got iMessage working again.
I know I can use email, whatts app, facebook messenger etc but my mother only has text on her phone and I can happily receive her messages but can't repsond - Apple and Vodafone are going to get me in trouble!! 
I have spent the last 3 hours trying to fix this and am about to pull out my hair.
The phone is just under 2 years old and was working absolutely fine till I stupidly plugged it into iTunes to back it up - big mistake.
Pleeeeeeaaase Help!
