i have had an on going issue with vodafone involving early upgrade fees and discounts on packages. they said i would get my early upgrade at 119 pound then 30% off a package then told me i wouldnt be allowed this as it should never have been offered. it was offered multiple tkmes through the week then we werent allowed it. so what im wondering is due to this being a mis sell does that mean we can we leave vodafone from the contract we have been in?

The deals / offers / discounts offered to you - were they supported by texts or emails or if by Live Chat a copy of the Chat Transcript ?
An “offer” is just that until it’s been accepted by both parties and then becomes a contractual agreement. Particulars that are discussed are normally logged in a persons account notes.
If you want to leave Vodafone at the Early Upgrade Stage then you’ll be liable for what’s left of the contract to run known as the Early Termination Fee.
If you wish to leave I’d suggest to wait until your contract has run full term and then give 30 days notice if you do not wish to keep your number or ask for a PAC Code and give that to an alternative Network within 30 days of issue. Give it to the alternative Network close to your Vodafone contract end date. When the new Network uses the pac Code this will automatically cancel your Vodafone contract. No 30 days notice is required.
With either avenue Vodafone will send you your final bill in approximately two weeks. They’ll take final payment and apply and applicable refunds.
Please leave your Direct Debit in place.
Once everythings paid you’ll be sent a £0 bill and Sorry your leaving letter.
Can I just add that I assume Vodafone have provided a useable service where you live, work and commute. Not every Network provides the same coverage everywhere so do test out Networks via Payg SIM cards. Don’t go by online checkers.
You may find Vodafone is better and moving Network may give you a deal but comes with service / networks connection and data speeds issues.
My suggestion is to wait until your contract is very near it’s end and ring 191 and choose ‘Thinking Of Leaving’ to get through to retention’s to see what they can offer. At the end of your contract your in a stronger position to barter a deal.

I took the offer, the wrong phone was ordered. the guy cancelled the order. was told that i when i ordered the right phone i would be given the same order multiple times. then was told i wasnt allowed it then they offered me 100 pound plus 15% from the retentions team. told them no and then was transfered and the guy then told me i should never have been offered the 15% off even.

Hey,
This doesn't sound like a great experience.
So first question would be, did you take Vodafone up on this deal and was an order processed? If so and there's an order on the system and they're not honouring what you'd agreed too then that could be classed as mis-sell.
If you didn't take them up on the offer and no order was placed then it's not as you've not been sold anything. You've had a conversation, been given what they are now saying is wrong information. So a sorry would suffice and they'd have to ensure they give you correct information before you proceed.
So depending on which of the two scenarios above you find yourself in with depend on where you go from here.
It's worth adding though that perhaps different teams have different upgrade scenarios and packages built into the system so it would be worth logging a complaint, getting their complaints team to investigate so you can at least either get the package or get Vodafone's final position on the matter.
www.vodafone.co.uk/complaints would be the route to do this.

i did place an order with them, it was cancelled 2 days later and was advised that when i placed the new order for the new phone it would be exactly the same. but then told i should never have been given any of it.
