did your samsung s7 edge arrive with broken seals
we did an upgrade and we ordered a samsung s7 edge ,so far vodaphone has sent me 3 exchance phones with the seal broken , all been sent back to vodaphone ,i have been on to samung and samsung have wrote back to me and said do not accept the phones if the seal are broken because they may be refurbished phone and you should send the phones back to vodaphone
vodaphone answer to this is " we can not send any phones out with the seal intacted because they have all came like it from samsung and the best thing to do is cancel your contract "
at the time of writing this im still waiting for a manager to ring me

But unfortunately, they don't seem to realise that networks do things like rebox handsets. Next they will be saying that those aren't new. Seals are sometimes broken for various reasons, such as inserting leaflets, SIM cards etc. This doesn't indicate that the handset isn't brand new.
The person may have given you the correct advice about not accepting a Samsung handset from Samsung if the seal is broken, but they shouldn't be commenting on phones that they aren't selling. The advice, although from Samsung, should be taken with a pinch of salt. Basically what the person has done is slander Vodafone, and for that could end up getting into a lot of trouble.

UPDATE.
a manager from vodafone rang me and told me that i should not accept a phone with a broken seal, and because i have sent 3 handsets back with the seals broken the manager phoned the vodafone warehouse manager and he said that he would himself get a phone with the seal intact and send it by a special courier and not DPD
the next day my phone came with the seal intact and to be honest you could tell the difference ,no dust,no marks also no fingerprints and no bubbles on the screen protector on the phone at all. it was in perfect condition.
