Do I need a special sim card to enable 3G?

Hi there

 

Yes, it is a 3G device, so will connect to a Sure Signal device.

 

Go to Settings > Network > Network Mode

Hi,  Even though the phone is 3G enabled, do I need an upgraded Sim Card to allow 3G acces?   I cannot get that B2710 phone to link to the Sure Signal device.  The sim card in that device was a SIM only deal a number of years ago, so maybe that Sim is missing the 3G side of the deal?The Samsung S3 mini works fine with it, so the Sure Signal is 100% functional.

It could be that the SIM card is to old so getting a new one would be a good place to start. You don't need a specific 3G card.

 

It may also be an idea to go through the Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread as this may help you to resolve your issue.  It has links to the key things you can do to try sort out the problem
