hi, i recently purchased my sure signal lesss than a month ago, it has been working fine up until yesterday when all im now getting is a flashing red power light and a static orange internet light.
not sure which version my sure signal is but it is one which plugs in and sits directly in the plug socked with another plug socket built into it. it has a power red power light, and 3 icon lights which are internet light, sevice light and users light.
things i have done so far..
changed ethernet cable
switched to a different ethernet port on my router
reset my router
unplugged sure signal for 2 minutes
set my firewall on my router to off
forwarded ports directly for my sure signal
reset my sure signal..
(the steps for a hard reset did not work, i was instructed to hold reset until all lights came on or flashed.. no lights came on or flashed even after 1 minute of holding in the reset button, i did carry on the procedure anyway and unplug the power and in again while holding the reset button anyway and im still getting the same result)
a different type of reset was told to me too.. hold reset, while holding reset unplug and plug back in ethernet cable, continue to hold reset for until a total duration of 20 seconds pass then let go of reset.
my speed test is 67 ping, 3.5 meg download, 350kbps upload

Matt
Thanks for your reply. Details below as requested.
Speed test results: download 3.59mbps, upload 0.38mbps
Ping: 50ms
External IP address: 86.152.55.30
Results of traceroute: performed - results below. Does the sure signal have to be plugged into the PC to do this? When the test was done the sure signal wasn't plugged into the wall or the router.
Sure Signal serial number: 40124152527
Thanks

Hi tanksta,
The traceroute is specifically to check the connection from your end to our servers, so like the speed tests it bypasses the Sure Signal.
I almost missed the answer in the Traceroute actually - the first step is worryingly high. With this sort of lag, the Sure Signal would be timing out waiting for a response.
I can see that a connection was made late yesterday, so are you still having issues? If you are, or should this recur, I'd suggest rebooting the BT Home Hub (that's where the delay is listed) as the first step, as even the computer's connection is showing that as a lag point.
Dave
If I've helped at all today, why not leave me a little feedback?

Hi I am experiencing this issue. I have 2 sure signals in my house as one is insufficient to give me a signal throughout the property. They both went off at the same time approx 2 hours ago. Previously have been working fine. I have followed all the advice to no avail:
Download speed = 6.24
Upload = 0.38
IP address: 86.141.112.17
Ping test = Ping 68ms, Jitter 5ms, line quality B*
VSS serial number = 40130609965

Hi Roadrunner100
Everything looks okay on your checks so I’ve performed a resync. You’ll need to do a factory reset on your Sure Signal as follows:
For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:
Hi ukricardo
If you’re still having problems, can I have your Sure Signal serial number?
Thanks
