Hi Everyone.

Those that are on iOS 9 / iOS 9.0.1.

May I highlight this new feature which is called Content Blocker.

BBC Tech -  Content Blocker.

Sadly not all iOS devices are supported that can run iOS 9 so only those with 64-bit processors. This means the iPhone 4s, 5, and 5c; the iPad 2, 3rd-generation iPad, and 4th-generation iPad; 1st-generation iPad mini; and the 5th-generation iPod touch. All later devices are compatible

This New facility allows a user to remove content such as advertisements from internet pages that then actually speeds up Safari loading and makes the pages much easier to read.

If a person wants to quickly Re load the page with the advertising then all they need to do is in the URL box where the address is hold the reload icon and a pop up box appears at the bottom of the screen saying "Reload without Content Blockers"

Their are lots of Content Blocker Apps in the  App Store. Some free and some paid for.

Some have Whitelists settings that allow you as the user in control to let through content on your favourite sites if you see fit. Some simply you switch on and forget about them.

The process to use this new feature is :

  1. Choose one from the App Store and download.
  2. Go into Settings-Safari-Content Blocker-Toggle it on.
  3. Close down Safari in your iPhone / iPad and re launch and you should see less Content such as Advertising and hopefully like me see an immediate improvement in Safari loading times.
