iPhone X - battery usage and stand by times...?

I’m on IOS 11.2.1 and this happened on 11.2 too but I’m getting the exact usage and standby times when I check my battery usage.

Anyone else having this?

Sometimes it’s normal like standby time should be much higher than usage time etc.

My battery is not draining  and I can see what I’m using in the list of apps which are using the battery and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Like today I have NOT used my phone for over 10 hours 🙄

The battery monitor does normally highlight rogue apps and it can sometimes take a while for app updates to happen and optimise.

An Apple Genius Bar can run a diagnostic on the iPhone.

Battery stats can be subjective as we all use and set up our phones differently.

There is a bug which randomly happens when iOS misreports the actual usage so it's nearly identical to the standby time.

Also have you recently added any new apps which use location services, background services at all?

Dale,

No, my location services is alway off only when I turn it on to go out for find my iPhone. Push notifications all off too. It must be a bug like you said but I’ll give it a few more days and then go to  apple.

Too many bugs for a phone I payed £1k for 🙄 lol

Mine did the same before I went from 11.1 to 11.2 then it stayed for a while till I updated to 11.2.1 then it settled down and reported the correct usage.

Others have fixed the issue by factory resetting their phones but this is drastic and time consuming.

I have done a factory reset but sometimes it still goes crazy.

Today it seems to be showing the correct battery usage and standby. Must be a software bug or possibly phone issue.

@KayZZ It may be best to pop into your local Vodafone store and let our advisers take a little look at your phone - they may be able to get a few things clarified for you once they've had a look 😊

Mine did the same thing yesterday and reset network settings seems to of fixed it.

2 days now showing correct battery usage.

Lets see how long it lasts
