Hello
I can not open Vodafone Connect Manager. I recently un-installed a previous version of Vodafone Connection Manager, and re-installed the latest version from a new dongle. But i every time i open the application i get the exception error, see attached. I have tried un-installing, and downloading the latest version but it still doesn't work. I am running XP service pack3.
The error message begins with - system.typeinitializationexception: the type initialize for 'vodafone.data.opcos' threw an exception
I have attached a screenshot of the error message.

As I can see, this is an Windows error.
Can you try your dongle into an another pc or laptop with Windows Vista or even 7 installed?
If you have the same error, your modem might have some problems, but in this case I think the probability is < 3%.
If you can connect, then you might have problems with your registers for Windows.
Solutions:
1. You can install a tool to cleanup and verify your registers - find these programs over the internet;
2. Reinstall Windows XP SP3;
3. Upgrade to Windows 7 or try to use any version of Linux, recomended Ubuntu(you don't get errors as in Windows and the only thing you need to do at first is setting the right Access Point Name)
4. Create Dial-Up connection.
1Start>>Control Panel
2. Network and Internet Connections
3.Network Connections
4. Create a new connection
5. Click New Connection Wizard, then Next
6 Select Connect to the Internet then Next
7. Then Set up my connection manually and Next
8. Click Connect using a dial-up modem and Next
9. Name your connection(you can name it as you want) then Next
10.Phone number: *99***1# si Next
11. Choose the right APN from this page and then Next
12. Additionally check the Add a shortcut to this connection and then Finish.
You will get a new window and click on Dial button.
*If any indication is wrong please correct me.
