i bought a second hand iphone 6 off ebay and my original option was to get it unlocked but can i do this instead?

 

just get a new sim only contract with vodafone and it will work fine right?

Hi there

If the phone is locked to Vodafone UK, you will be able to use it with a SIM Only contract provided by Vodafone UK.

Unfortunately , you won't be able to get it unlocked as unlocking can only be done at the request of the original owner.

Yes it should accept a pay monthly or pay as you go SIM card if locked to Vodafone.

Or ask the original owner to request the unlock.
