Hi andyefc,

Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, it's always great to see new faces on here :).

I can imagine that this must be quite frustrating, so I'm eager to help you out here. One potential fix for this issue would be to download the latest version of Vodafone Mobile Connect (VMC) from the following link: VMC 9.4.6.

If this doesn't make any difference, then I suspect the problem may lie with the modem drivers. One reason for this error message is that there are multiple modem drivers in place and so VMC is trying to connect with the wrong one. This can be rectified as follows:

-Close VMC (File > Exit/Close)
-Go To Start > Control Panel
-Double click on Phone and Modem Options
-Click on the Modems Tab (if it asks for location information, fill this in first)
-Remove any Huwaei/Globetrotter modems listed
-Click on Add and then let Windows automatically find the modem
-Once it is back in place, close all windows and re-load VMC
-Try connecting again.

If this doesn't resolve your issue then please let me know which version of Windows and which model of modem you're using and I'll be able to assist further.
