rich communications on sony xperia z3 compact

How do I enable it? I can't find it in the settings either the phone settings or texting settings.... I'm running lollipop! Any ideas?

Hi, I started using my Z3 yesterday for the first time in a little while, I had hangouts set as my standard messaging app, I switched it to the messaging app and in the settings was an option to turn on chat, which I believe turns on the RCS, I didn't activate it but now can't find the option to turn it on, but that's where it was, sorry can't be more help.

I have just downloaded message+ from the play store and that is working OK, that uses RCS.

The stock messaging has a chat option but I can't seem to use it...

Is it the pre-loaded app you're using or a download from the Play store?

Are you struggling to use chat over 3G/4G or on Wi-Fi?

Finally, what happens when you try to send a message?

Hi@ben_h it's working ok I have 2 contacts that are on Vodafone and they can receive chat messages. I am using the stock message with a chat option and not message plus. So gar so good
