sim card in my volvo xc90

Hi,

i purchased 12 month contract sim card to put in my volvo xc90, i have simetimes got a signal but no internet.

 

Has anyone had similar issues and does anyone know how to resolve it? I have used the following settings as advised by vodafone.

APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk

username: wap

password: wap

Those are the correct APN settings. Have you tried the SIM in another device?

Yes I put the sim in my iPad and it worked fine

Hi,

Did you ever reolve this problem?  I have this week installed a P-SIM in my 2017 XC90 and like you I seem to get very intermittent coverage - the apps seem to only load once every three or four journeys - the rest of the time it just sits there saying 'Connecting'

If the SIM works in another device, the issue would most likely be down to reception in the car and that would, I'd assume, be a matter for Volvo.   Does the car use all frequencies - ie 2/3/4G?   If it's limiting itself, that could be the problem.
