smtp on Vodafone broadband

I wish to use smtp from a device connected to the internet through Vodafone ADSL broadband.

I require, as is or was the standard, an smtp server accesible by way of the ISP.

This has caused me to notice that there does not appear to be one, although some web pages do mention mail.vodafone.ie. I have hazarded the guess that this is not the server I should be using.

 

Is there a STANDARD smtp server provided by my ISP (Vodafone) and if so what are the settings?

Hi there

 

I don't believe that Vodafone actually provide an SMTP server which could explain why you can't find one.  I may be totally wrong on this so it would be worth while speaking to the Broadband team on 08080 034 515. They should be able to advise if there is an SMTP server and what the details are.
