This morning, I experienced a broadband outage. Sometimes, due to the age of my home hub thing (about 5-6 years), it just needs restarting. As it was stupidly early and I didn’t want to get out of bed, I went into the router settings (via 192.168.1.1), to look for the option to restart the WiFi. However, it seems I may have also disabled the WiFi.
it turns out that there is a fault on the line, too, but I still can’t get it to where I can connect to the router itself. Is there a way I can use the IP to access the router via the network on my data connection? I don’t have any appliances that take Ethernet and, so far, have tried resetting the WiFi but it hasn’t reset for some reason.

There should be two buttons on the top of the router. Press the one on the left, marked "wifi", then step back and watch the magic happen (it's not instant like a light switch).

If you are unable to connect by ethernet, the only thing you can do it to factory reset the router and start again.
Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds, and the Wi-Fi will come back on.
If you have the THG3000 router there is also a Wi-Fi button on the top which should also allow you to turn it off and on.
