Alexa wifi booster WITHOUT vodafone hub

Hi all

I have vodafones gigafast service, and use a unifi usg as my router and not vodafone's equipment.

I recently received the super wifi booster with alexa in it, and am unable to set it up without the vodafone router.

Does anyone know a way around this?

At the moment it doesn't seem that there is a way around this.  The extenders seem locked down in such a manner that they require a degree of remote setup/administration.
