Can anyone advise on a compatable wifi booster for the THG3000 router

does anyone have a booster that would work

@Jayach Yes and the other problem is not knowing how far the signal from the router propagates. I'd get a powerline with a WiFi capability.

Can you elaborate on what a power line is for us not so tech savy

Powerline adapters enable you to use your power sockets as a wired network.  If the house wiring is good, they can be great, but if it's bad they can be next to useless, and they sometimes don't like traversing from ring-main to ring-main across floors.  As @Cynric said, you can even get them with built-in WiFi access points.

With the number of devices many of us have now, an N300 (2.4GHz only) extender would have the potential to completely cripple your network!

As @CrimsonLiar says there can be problems with PowerLine. I'm one of the lucky ones for whom it's been fine.

Historically I've also been very lucky with powerlines but I've seen them next to useless elsewhere too.  And I currently have an Asus AiMesh unit set up - but I wouldn't recommend using then in extender mode!

Have you tied the WPS button? ((Press the one on the booster and the one on the router within about a minute of each other)
