City Fibre installation, can I dig my own trench?

Been offered a "free" upgrade to fibre, but getting it from where the street port is to where it needs to feed through to the house isn't easy.

It would have to go under a hedge, across a bed with chuckies, under a small wall, under a flower bed, under a slabbed path then under another flower bed.

It's quite a distance and not an easy job. I'm willing to do the digging myself but need to know how much depth there needs to be for the connecting cable.

Can anyone help?

@kradcliffe2  Very unlikely. If for no other reason you probably do not know what else is in the ground and hitting a 240-volt line is leathal, never mind water, sewers, etc.

How does your existing telephone connect come into the house? They may be able to blow their fibre through the same trunking.

Why not say you would like the upgrade, but need CityFibre to survey first, and discus it with them.
