Deco XE75 and Vodafone set up help

Hi

Does anyone have all the input details on setting up a DECO XE75 with Vodafone Fibre. I have the PPPoe username and password as I am using a TP Link router at the moment, but wanting to switch over to a faster mesh. The details are the same and I add them, but it's still glowing red, so something isn't right in the set up. I was told to add VLAN 901 (though my current set up doesnt have it) and it doesn't work - with or without. If someone has got over this issue with the set up, I would be most grateful!

Have you checked you have the latest firmware? I seem to recall someone with a Deco XE having to get pre-release firmware from TP-Link.

@wcollidge

Did you get your PPPoE credentials from Vodafone, and if so what VLAN were you given?

Are you on Openreach or CityFibre?

Hey, I'm on openreach. I did get PPoE but no VLAN, going back through the threads I tried without anything, 101, 911 and those options didn't work.  I tried swapping O for 0 and 1 for l etc also.

Sorry, I'm on Openreach

I got the PPPoE details etc, but couldnt get it to work. Also tried contacting decco with no help at all. The PPPoE details were all correct as I set up a different router direct before, so I know I'm entering the details correctly.

So in the end I wired my decco to vodafone router. Switched off wifi on the vodafone router. Set the decco router as dynamic IP and it all works fine.

It's just annoying that I have to still use the vodafoen router inbetween the Fibre and the Decco system - but hey ho, it all works fine.
