FTTP Latency Spikes under load

Hello, I have been having issues gaming on my connection, I use Ethernet and latency is poor. I have Openreach 900Mb FTTP connection that i got specifically for gaming and tbh my Virgin DOCSIS connection was better before.

1) I have tried to use thinkbroadband quality monitor to test connection however i get 100% dropped packets - I have used my IP and enabled ping to WAN Interface on firewall settings. Any idea how i can fix this please?
2) Speedtests show good idle latency however poor loaded latency - speedtest.net latency spikes well over 800ms during the actual speedtest - unloaded is around 9ms. Thinkbroadband shows spikes of over 250ms during downloads and gives me a grade F.
3) I play a game that uses P2P connections using steam, Hosting games is not possible due to massive desync because of bad/lost packets. I have Upnp enabled which should auto forward the required ports, i have tested manual port forwarding with no change.

I'm leaning towards this being a latency issue - can anybody please help me fix the quality monitor as a start to help me diagnose my connection before calling support team.

To be honest that BQM is pretty good. The problem is it shows Latency to your home, not from. However, the minimum latency is nice and steady, and the spikes just indicate transfer of a lot of data.

I see nothing wrong here.

Hi Ripshod, yes exactly latency to the home... playing GTFO i have desync where other players are over 10 seconds behind and the game is completely unplayable. And as you can see from speedtests loaded latency is high - the internet is really fast and responsive as long as i don't use it basically! 🤡
