Gigafast 900 - Unusable in the evenings

I am wondering if anyone can help me or give me any advice on how to approach VF with my issue.

I have had Gigafast 900 since December last year and its been amazing until recently. I usually get 900 up and down and its been pretty flawless for gaming.

Last week I noticed something was not right while I was gaming so ran a ping test and found an issue. I am getting around 15ms but every 3 seconds or so, huge spikes of 300-500ms and lots of jitter on the line. I am not getting this issue at all during the day when I am working from home.

Yesterday I noticed I was being routed to Edinburgh which is obviously a little strange, I reset my router and now I am being routed to Birmingham which I thought would fix the issue but tonight, the ping spikes are still going on.

Last night the internet was pretty much unusable.

I ran tracer route and got the following results.

But was your problem only in the evening @purrbox, I would have expected that to affect the latency at any time of the day.?

Hey! Me again.

So I have continued to monitor my BQM I have set up and apart from some very small packet loss showing up, everything has seemed fine.

Last night I did check out my ping on https://www.netmeter.co.uk/ping-test/ and that continued to show intermittent ping spikes that are upwards of 300. This is with the Vodafone router (This issue was previously happening with my Netgear router)

I don't notice any issues when I am gaming at all, I get no in-game warnings there there is an issue or anything like that. The spikes are being picked on multiple machines including an iMac.

This was my BQM from last night where you can see some movement around the time I was seeing the spikes.

Any suggestions?

Those small blips are just natural lifts associated with data transfer in either direction, so should not be considered "spikes" at all.

I think you should just ignore those warnings (especially from apple devices) and just keep gaming and streaming - if there are any real issues that's where they'd show.
